The Regenerative Edit: VELA's $950 Skin Reset for Charlotte

The Regenerative Edit: VELA's $950 Skin Reset for Charlotte

Charlotte clients ask for it by name now — a single session that addresses dullness, fine lines, post-breakout marks, and the slow-build skin fatigue that sneaks up after a season of travel, late nights, and the merciless Charlotte sun. The Regenerative Edit is VELA's answer: a $950 combination treatment that layers Aerolase, SkinPen, PDRN, and BioRePeel into one carefully sequenced 90-minute visit. It is the most-requested signature service at our luxury Charlotte med spa in South End, and there is a reason it earns the room it takes on the calendar.

What's inside The Regenerative Edit

The Regenerative Edit is not a menu of optional add-ons. It is a four-step protocol designed to work as a system, with each modality preparing the skin for the next.

Step 1: Aerolase laser

Sofia, VELA's lead aesthetician and the provider who runs our laser program, opens every Regenerative Edit with the Aerolase Neo Elite. The 650-microsecond Nd:YAG pulse is designed to calm vascular redness, soften pigmentation, and quiet the sebaceous activity that drives Charlotte's humidity-fueled breakouts. Starting with Aerolase means the skin arrives at the next steps already cooled, decongested, and primed. For the full breakdown of how the wavelength works, see our recent post on the Aerolase laser in Charlotte.

Step 2: SkinPen microneedling

SkinPen is the only FDA-cleared microneedling device, and at VELA it is the engine of the protocol's collagen response. Sofia adjusts depth across zones — slightly deeper across the cheeks where texture and post-acne marks tend to settle, lighter through the forehead and around the eyes — to create the controlled micro-channels that signal the skin's natural collagen and elastin cascade. On its own, SkinPen is a strong stand-alone treatment. Layered after Aerolase, the channels open into skin that is already calmer and more receptive to what comes next.

Step 3: PDRN ("salmon DNA")

PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotides, often called "salmon DNA" — is the biotech ingredient that has reshaped what microneedling can deliver in Charlotte. Applied directly into the freshly-channeled skin, PDRN is designed to support fibroblast activity, hydration, and the skin's own repair signaling. Clients often report that the glow at the seven-to-ten day mark is noticeably different from a microneedling session without it. This is the layer that makes the Edit feel regenerative rather than simply resurfacing.

Step 4: BioRePeel

BioRePeel finishes the session. It is a no-downtime, biphasic peel — TCA-based but buffered — that exfoliates the surface while delivering amino acids and vitamins into the deeper layers. Sequenced last, it locks the protocol with a polish: smoother light reflection, softer texture, and the unmistakable post-treatment finish clients reach for the next morning.

Why we layer four modalities in one visit

Stacking treatments only works if the sequencing is intentional. Each step in The Regenerative Edit is chosen to reinforce the one before it. Aerolase calms inflammation so SkinPen can work without aggravating reactive skin. SkinPen creates the delivery pathway for PDRN. PDRN supports the repair phase that BioRePeel's final exfoliation would otherwise ask the skin to do alone. A Charlotte aesthetician who simply runs four devices back to back is not delivering this protocol — the order, depths, and dwell times are the protocol.

It is also why The Regenerative Edit lives at the top of VELA's price list. The $950 reflects a 90-minute provider-locked appointment with Sofia, four single-use consumable kits, and the medical-grade post-care that goes home with you.

Who is this for?

The Regenerative Edit is built for the client who:

  • Is in their late 20s through late 50s and wants a single, decisive intervention rather than a long series.
  • Is managing more than one concern at once — dullness plus texture, redness plus post-acne marks, or fine lines plus uneven tone.
  • Has an event, a season change, or a "ready to feel like myself again" moment on the horizon and wants noticeable improvement in two to three weeks.
  • Has graduated past entry-level facials and is ready for deeper work without committing to a full laser series.

It may not be the right starting point for clients with very reactive skin, active cystic flares, or recent isotretinoin use. In those cases, Sarah, our second-pillar aesthetician, often opens the door with a calming GLO2 Facial or a targeted Acne Edit, and we layer in The Regenerative Edit once the skin is ready. A consultation is the honest answer to whether today is the day.

What to expect at VELA

You will arrive to a quiet South End suite, change into a robe, and spend the first ten minutes in a thorough skin read with Sofia under clinical lighting. The treatment itself runs roughly 75 minutes. Aerolase feels like a warm rubber-band tap; SkinPen, with topical numbing, feels like a vibrating hum; PDRN goes on cool; BioRePeel ends with a light tingle and a fresh-skin finish. There is no bandaging and no recovery room.

For the rest of the day, expect a flushed glow that fades over 24 to 48 hours. Most clients return to work the next morning. We send you home with a curated post-care set assembled by Mani, who runs VELA's mercantile and selects only the medical-grade products designed to protect the work we just did.

Cadence and aftercare

The Regenerative Edit is most often booked once per quarter, with maintenance facials in between. For clients chasing a specific event, we sometimes sequence two Edits four to six weeks apart. The full collagen response continues to build over 8 to 12 weeks, so the result you see at the two-week mark is not the result you see at the three-month mark.

Hydration, mineral SPF every morning, and a five-day pause on retinoids are the non-negotiables. Mani and Sarah will walk you through the rest.

Ready to book?

The Regenerative Edit calendar fills two to three weeks out, and Sofia's chairs go first. If a season-change reset, a wedding, a milestone birthday, or simply a long-overdue "for me" appointment is on your mind, this is the one.
